Salam, I do taqlid of Sayyid Sistani and I need advise regarding the following: I have joined a company who have a Pension Plan, however after delving further into the way this Pension Plan is operated I have found that the money contributed to the plan is invested in the FTSE 100 (100 top companies in the UK), of which two are alcohol and one tobacco company. During this pension plan each month the money can be invested in any company from the FTSE 100 (minus comapanies that deal with arms). My question is would it be permissible for me to join such a pension plan? Thankyou for your help in advance.
Answer:
If you know that any amount of your money might be invested in any company dealing with forbidden business like alcohol, Un Islamic banking, etc, it becomes forbidden for you to invest any amount in such plan.

Salam. I have a bussiness which carrys out door to door sales for a government scheme called 'the Green deal' which basically allows customers to get free upgrades such as boiler replacements, wall and loft insulation. This free upgrade is paid for by the government through a loan. And what ever the customer saves from their energy bills goes back to pay the original loan + interest. So the customer pays back for the loan through their energy bills and unlike a typical loan which is tied to a customer this is tied to the house. So if someone decides to sell their house the loan will carry onto the next homeowner. Is my business allowed to carry out this scheme?. Thank you
Answer:
Yes it is allowed as the government is paying to reduce spending on energy and taking back what it spent from the amount saved. The extra amount (interest) can be taken as service charge. There is no RIBA involved.

salamwalekum there is a way of saving the money in bank in which we save a bulk amount for a time period n bank give us some money in that particular time being n at the maturity of time we get our money back. is this kind of saving is halal? the person is in the taqleed of AGHA SISTANI sahib walekumassalam
Answer:
If you do not put condition on the bank to give you more than your capital,
and the bank adds on your capital, it is allowed for you to take that
additional amount.
