Question:

Salam Alaikum Imam Al Musawi, If my husband's sons by another wife come to live with us in our home, do I have to wear hijab in front of them since I am not the biological mother. I am 48 years old and they are 15, 17, and 20 years old. I know it is in Quran, Surah Al Noor verse 31, but I wanted to make sure when it says husband's sons,it means by another wife. Shookrahn/Thank You, Sister AnNisa

Answer:

If the marriage between you and your present husband has been implemented ,
not just by Nikah recited but by sexual intercourse, then all your husband
children from any other marriage become Mahram for you and you do not need
to wear Hijab in front of them.
