World Ahlul Bayt Islamic League (WABIL) utterly condemns the horrific criminal suicide attack yesterday during Jumah prayers at the Shia Central mosque in Peshawar. Pakistan. We offer our sincere condolences to the families of the two police guards martyred, the 60 martyred victims from inside the mosque and the near 200 injured.
 
This despicable inhuman act by cowardly ungodly people, who blow up, maim and kill pious God-fearing people while praying, is a sign of how far removed from Islam they are especially killing in this auspicious month of Shaban.
 
WABIL urges the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan to take urgent action in bringing the murderers to justice. Shia killing has been happening for decades in Pakistan and to date no Pakistani government has acknowledged this genocide, instead passing it off as ethnic killings. We urge the government to acknowledge the anti-Shia violence, to take action against the killers and the despicable people celebrating this act of violence, and to support the families of the victims through financial aid. We also demand  that they are provided  with security.
