Question ID 2547 Sunday 31st of May 2015

Question:

Hello. I have 3 questions about tahara. 1) if i forgot if something had najasa on it, what should i do? 2) if urine splashes on my thigh while i am out of the house, my pants are now considered to be second mutanajjis. If my wet hand touches my pants ( on top of where the original najasa was ), is the najasa being transferred from my pants or from my thigh? 3) how much wetness is necessary to transfer najasa? i heard it is supposed to be flowing wetness, how about if my hand was moist and touched something impure? Thank you.

Answer:

Q1) if i forgot if something had najasa on it, what should i do?
A1) if you knew that something has been Najis then forgot and dealt with it
as Taahir, it remains Najis and all of rules of Najis item are applied on
it.
Q 2) if urine splashes on my thigh while i am out of the house, my pants
are now considered to be second mutanajjis. If my wet hand touches my pants
( on top of where the original najasa was ), is the najasa being
transferred from my pants or from my thigh?
A2) Najasah on your thigh does not transfer to you pant but if there was
wetness between them. If you are not sure, then your pant is not Najais. If
it becomes Najis from the urine drops splashed on your thigh, your touching
it with wetness will make your hand Najis.
Q 3) how much wetness is necessary to transfer najasa? i heard it is
supposed to be flowing wetness, how about if my hand was moist and touched
something impure?
A3) Wetness which transfers Najasah does not need to be flowing, but just
when it leaves an effect of wetness on a dry item which touchs it.
