Question:

how to ensure or check that i am sayyed?can a person be sayyed from mothers side?

Answer:

Sayyed is the person who come from a family who are from Sadat families
which means that they have a confirmed lineage and link with the family
tree of Bani Hashim. This link can be proved by authentic books of families
trees or by being well known in your native place that your family belongs
to Sadat.
Most of our Ulama say that Sayyed must be from a Sayyed father.

Assalamu alaykum, I am female with no father, but a mother, one brother and three sisters. I would like to know how my assets would be divided if I were to pass away from this world and leave inheritance. Jazakamullah Khayr.

If you pass away and leave your mother alive, she will get one sixth of
