Question:

Salam alakium If I go to countries like China, India and Japan should I then take people as tahir even though I know that there almost exist no people from ahl al kitab in these places? What about if I want to go buy some food from a restaurant there? Should I then ask people if they are from ahl al kitab or can I take the food as tahir? I mean it is almost certain even if I don´t ask them. And I think that nobody can cook food without getting their hands wet. So if I meet a man from these places should I take him as tahir or shoud I ask him about his religion? wa salam

Answer:

Most of the people in these countries you mentioned are not from Ahlul Kitab, so you can not deal with them as Ahlul Kitab unless you unless you have an evidence that this individual is Muslim or from All Kitab.
Food touched by non Muslims who are not Ahlul Kitab with wetness is not Taahir at all.

Question ID 4240 Sunday 4th of March 2018

Question:

salam alakium I live in Western Europe. I am studying law and will soon finish my studies. I have some questions about wroking in a non muslim government. Is it permissbile to process cases of asylum in the country I live even if the laws of the non muslim country does not correspond with islamic laws? For example a Western country will usually provide shelter for people who are prosecuted because they are gay. But a the same time they also give asylum for people who are muslims who come from war. But you can´t say you will process one case and not the other. And another question please. When working for a non muslim government as a jurist you will have to draft legislation of proposals accordingly within the framework of the country I live in. This means I will maybe have to draft proposals which contradict islamic laws. Is that permissible? I would like to notice that as a jurist in a non muslim government I will only carry out what the government whats me to do. So it is not me deciding the laws but I will have to make the laws come true. Please provide me with as much details, thank you. wa salam.

Answer:

It is allowed to help people who suffer from tyrant governments to get
shelter and protection from danger, but it is not allowed to help in any
case which is based on wrong. You are not allowed to take part in any wrong
case even if you are been ordered by your local government . You must
reject taking any wrong case because Islam does not allow helping any wrong
case.

Question:

Salam At my work there is a person who does not believe in anything. I have noticed he always sweat and rub his hands at his clothes. We got some computers at our workplace and we all use the including him. Should I regard the keyboard and mouse of the computer as Najis or tahir? My problem is that my hands constantly make sweat, so it is a big problem for me if I should regard it as Najis. If I should regard it as tahir should I then ask him about his hands? Wa salam

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Assalam wr wb
As far as you are not sure that the keyboard or any thing else has definitely became Najis, you can consider it as Taahir. Nevertheless, precaution is always good if there is big possibility of him making the items Najis if you are sure that he is really a Non Muslim.
