Marja: Ayatollah sistani Assalam u alaykum My work commitments have been intermittent recently which means that during ramadan I will be travelling 7 days to and from work (60 mile round trip) Otherwise, I travel to work 9-10 days per month What does this mean in terms of my frequent traveller status, with regards to qasr prayers and fasting? Thank you

Answer:

If you travel for work at least three days a week, you are then a frequent

Question:

AoA, I am Ahsan Kazmi and I have moved to work in Bristol, the UK from Russia in November 2021. In Bristol, there is a big problem with accommodation and therefore I start living in Stoke on Trent which is 120 miles away from my workplace. I have to commute from stoke to Bristol once a week for one day. I am not sure what will happen to my fasting on that day. Will I need to leave it and then do the qaza for it? Additionally, I have to just go for 3 days in the whole month of Ramadhan. Looking forward to hearing from you. Iltemas- e dua

Answer:

There is no fast when you are traveling unless you travel for work at least
three days a week or ten days a month.
Wassalam.
