Question ID 1242 Monday 24th of March 2014

Question:

Salam. May I know who is the companion of Prophet Muhammad in the cave with regards to the ayat of the Quran? Please answer me... Sukran and Wassalam.

Answer:

There are more than one opinion about the person who was with the Prophet
Mohammad (SAWA) in the cave. Most of our Sunni brothers claim that he was
Abu Bakr Ibn Abi Quhafah, but many scholars say that he was =D9=90Abdullah =
Ibn
Uraiqit Ibn Bakr, an Arab guide.
The person as we read in Quran, was sad, that is why the Prophet (SAWA)
told him : Do not be sad. The person was not entitled to get the peace from
Allah as the peace was sent on the Prophet (SAWA) alone and not on that
person.

Question ID 1227 Tuesday 18th of March 2014

Question:

As-salamu alaykum. My question is in regards to a person's name. My own name is Irish and is descended from an ancient Irish pagan god. Though its meaning is simply 'wisdom' I have not been able to find any reliable Shia sources on whether this would constitute a name change or not. From what I have learned only those with haram name meanings e.g slave of Baal constitute a change. Is my name acceptable for its meaning or do I need to change it? Thank you for you time.

Answer:

Changing name is not must in Islam as far as the name does not contain any
wrong meaning. Your name which means wisdom, does not need to be changed.
Heart and behaviour must be enlightened with light of Real Islam of the
Prophet (SAWA) and his Ahlul Bayt (AS).

Question ID 1164 Wednesday 19th of February 2014

Question:

AOA, Maluana ab. What is the role of stars in our life like some astrologers/najomi says your stars are revolving or not in our favor till few months/years. Is it allowed to go to astrologers/najomi ans consult them about future? If not then in history why mostly Muslims chooses astrology/ Ilm e Najoom as career? Regards

Answer:

We should not rely on starts or astrology in our daily actions and plans,
and rely only on Allah. mercy and protection. It is wrong to seek advice
from astrologists or Nojoomi. We do not have in the life of the Prophet
(SAWA) and Ahlul bayt (AS) any permission to do so, on the contrary we have
orders to not to go seek any advice from them.
