Salaam Agha Musawi :Can I spend my sehme saadat money portion on medical expenses of my brother in law (sayed) who is a retired person and needs money to get a liver transplant? He does have somee saving and a house to live but not much to afford the cost of surgery .Your earliest response shall be appreciated.
Answer:
If he is a poor Sayyed, then he will be entitled to receive and utilise Sahm Sadaat. Poor means : not having enough to meet his needs of food, clothing, housing, treatment etc.
You can give your brother in law from Sahm Sadaat if he does not have enough money for his treatment.

Salaams, I.A. you are well. . . If one has not been able to calculate his khums payable on the khums date, can one pay an over-estimated amount, eg: £700.00 on account? Then whenever, he calculates and determines the exact amount due, for eg: £ 600.00 and offsets £700.00 khums paid on account. Therfore, £100 overpayment of khums is carried forward to the next date when khums due. Thank you for advising.

assalam o alaikum admin, My friend went to arbaeen last year and on his way back to Pakistan , he brought me a Kafan from Karbala, Now its has been a year i have the Kafan with me, I want to confirm is there any Khums i have to give away ? and the amount of the Khums i need to know... can you please guide me on it by any authentic resource, waiting for your reply
