Question:
Bismillahirahmanaraheem, Asalaamualaykum. My marja is Ayatollah Sistani. I intentionally broke some fasts and according to the rulings I have to make up qaza fasts and also pay kaffara. I cannot remember the exact amount of fasts that I broke, how should I estimate the number? If I do not pay the kaffara for the fasts and do not make up the qaza fasts until after the next Ramadan, does the number of qaza fasts and kaffara amount multiply, or does it stay the same? Also, do I still have to pay the kaffara if I was ignorant about the ruling of kaffara during the time I intentionally broke the fasts? In the case of paying the kaffara money, instead of directly feeding the persons, is it allowed to give the kaffara money through an organization? JazakAllah Khair.

A few days ago I fasted to make up my missed fasts and later found out that was the birthday of the prophet Muhammad as well in which some Muslims fast for he occasion. So my question is, do I use that day to go towards my missed fasts from Ramadan (as I had intended on the day) or do I use it as a non obligatory fast for the occasion. Thanks
