Time of Maghrib Prayer is not only after sunset but also after the reddish

Question:

Sallam, can one follow imam in wajib sallat while your own intention is to have nafillah?

Question ID 538 Tuesday 18th of June 2013

Question:

Dear Maulana Sahab, Nowadays the masla of Ali un Wali ullah in Tashahud is becoming more and more complicated because there are so many Aalims advocating that it is found in many Shia reference books and it must be recited or else Namaz is not proper. If it is really so, what about the Namaz which we have been reciting all these years Please help, I am Muqallid of Ay. Sistani

Answer:

No one is allowed to add on any obligatory part of Namaz including Tashahhud=
which was recited by all our Infallible Imams (A.S.) {ASHHADU ANLA ILAAHA I=
LLALLAH WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU WA ASHHADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN ABDOHU WA RASOO=
LUH ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MOHAMMAD WA AALI MOHAMMAD}.
We were been ordered to perform Namaz in the same way that our Prophet Moham=
mad (SAWA) used to pray (=D8=B5=D9=84=D9=91=D9=88=D8=A7 =D9=83=D9=85=D8=A7 =D8=
=B1=D8=A3=D9=8A=D8=AA=D9=85=D9=88=D9=86=D9=8A =D8=A3=D8=B5=D9=84=D9=91=D9=8A=
)
Mentioning the name of Ameerul Mo'mineen before or after Tashahhud in the fo=
rm of Du'a like "ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA AMEERIL MO'MINEEN" or any other form of=
Du'a is allowed as we have in authentic Hadeeths that any Du'a is permissib=
le during Namaz, but that does not mean adding on Tashahhud but just saying a=
Du'a.
Adding on Tashahhud invalidates Namaz as adding in any obligatory part of Na=
maz any human word, like those who add on their Namaz the word Aameen which i=
s not from the Namaz and not a firm of Du'a.
